Ingredients
  

For the Patties

  • 1 lb ground chicken Use lean ground chicken for tenderness.
  • 2 tablespoons chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced Adjust quantity for desired heat level.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Assembling

  • 4 pieces burger buns
  • 1 cup lettuce For topping.
  • 1 cup tomato, sliced For topping.
  • 1 cup avocado, sliced For topping.
  • Optional: spicy mayo or sauce For serving.

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, minced chipotle peppers, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and salt and pepper. Mix gently until well combined.
  • Form the mixture into 4 evenly sized patties and press a shallow dimple into the center of each.

Cooking

  • Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Toast the burger buns on the grill or skillet until golden brown.

Assembly

  • Assemble the burgers by placing a chicken patty on the bottom bun and adding lettuce, tomato, avocado, and any sauce you like.
  • Serve immediately while warm and juicy.

Notes

Let the patties rest for 2 minutes before assembling to allow juices to redistribute. Adjust seasoning as needed by tasting a small amount of the mixture prior to cooking.
