  • 1 pack Sweet Hawaiian rolls (slider-sized) Use high-quality Hawaiian rolls for the best texture.
  • 12 slices Cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, Monterey Jack, or your favorite melting cheese) Choose halal-friendly options if necessary.
  • ¼ cup Butter (softened) Unsalted or salted butter can be used.

Optional Add-ins

  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Optional for extra flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried herbs (oregano, thyme) Optional for added flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Honey For glazing, if desired.
  • 1 cup Thinly sliced roasted vegetables (e.g., bell peppers, zucchini) Optional for additional taste.
  • 1 tablespoon Chutney For spreading if desired.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally to create slider sandwiches.
  • Place a slice of cheese between the halves of each roll and add optional extras if desired.
  • In a pan, melt butter over medium heat and lightly toast the outside of the rolls until golden brown.
  • Place the assembled rolls on a baking sheet and bake for about 5–7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Stovetop Variation

  • Toast the bottom halves in a buttered skillet, add cheese and top halves, cover with a lid for 2–3 minutes to melt the cheese.

Air Fryer Option

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and brush outsides with melted butter. Cook 4–6 minutes until golden and cheesy.

Notes

Leftover mini grilled cheeses store well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Assemble and freeze for up to 2 months.
