Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 20 oz frozen tater tots Choose your favorite brand or homemade.
  • 2 cups shredded cheese Cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend; freshly shredded melts better.

  • 1 cup sour cream Can substitute with Greek yogurt.
  • 3 tbsp green onion Thinly sliced; use white and green parts.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven according to tater tots package instructions.
  • Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on a baking tray.

Baking

  • Bake the tater tots until golden and crispy, following the package timing as a guideline.
  • Remove from oven and top each tot with shredded cheese and bacon bits.
  • Return to the oven until the cheese is melted and bubbling, usually 2–4 minutes.

Serving

  • Serve hot with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of green onions.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For best texture, reheating should be done in the oven or air fryer rather than the microwave.
