Gelatin Base

  • 1 tablespoon gelatin Use high-quality unflavored gelatin for best results.
  • ½ cup hot water Hot but not boiling.
  • ½ cup cold water or unsweetened herbal/green tea Choose your favorite herbal tea for flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice Optional for flavor enhancement.

Preparation

  • Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of gelatin over 1 to 2 tablespoons of cold water in a mixing bowl. Let it sit for about 1 minute to bloom.
  • Pour in 1/2 cup of hot water and stir gently until the gelatin is fully dissolved, ensuring no lumps remain.
  • Stir in 1/2 cup of cold water or your chosen herbal/green tea and optionally add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice for brightness.

Setting

  • Pour the mixture into a baking tray or small dish. For quick consumption, you can enjoy it warm.
  • For the best texture, chill in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours until lightly set.

Notes

Enjoy warm as a comforting drink or cool for a nutritious snack. You can also use different teas and sweeteners for variations. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
