Ingredients

Churro Dough Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup sugar (for coating)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a saucepan, combine water, 2 tablespoons sugar, vegetable oil, and salt. Bring to a boil.
  • Stir in the flour until a dough forms.
  • Allow the dough to cool slightly, then transfer to a piping bag.
  • Pipe small bites onto parchment paper.

Cooking

  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and spray the basket with cooking spray.
  • Place churro bites in the basket and spray the top.
  • Cook for about 10 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden and crisp.

Coating

  • In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon.
  • Toss churro bites in the cinnamon sugar mixture before serving.

Notes

All ingredients are halal-friendly and pantry-accessible. If you don’t have a piping tip, a zip-top bag works well for piping uniform bites. Parchment paper helps prevent sticking and makes transfer easy; trim it to fit your air fryer basket. Store cooked churro bites at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 24 hours.
