  • to taste pepper Freshly cracked black pepper recommended.
  • 4 burger buns Choose sturdy buns (brioche, potato roll, or sesame).
  • Toppings (lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickles, onions, etc.) Customize with your favorite toppings.

Preparation

  • Preheat your grill to high heat, about 450–550°F.
  • In a bowl, gently mix ground beef with salt and pepper. Avoid overworking the meat.
  • Divide the beef into 3–4 patties. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
  • Chill formed patties briefly if they feel soft.

Cooking

  • Grill the patties for 3–4 minutes on one side without pressing down.
  • Flip the patties, add cheese if desired, and cook for another 3–4 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  • Toast the burger buns on the grill for 30–60 seconds.
  • Assemble your burgers with desired toppings and serve hot.

Notes

For variations, consider oven-roasting patties or using alternative proteins. Avoid overcrowding the grill for even cooking.
