Ingredients
  

For the Peanut Butter Dough

  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter Use creamy peanut butter for the smoothest texture.
  • 3 Tbsp salted butter, softened Make sure the butter is soft but not melted.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar Sift if lumpy.

For the Chocolate Coating

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Add 1 Tbsp vegetable shortening or coconut oil for smoother chocolate.

Preparation

  • Combine the peanut butter and butter in a mixing bowl.
  • Gradually add powdered sugar and stir until a dough forms.
  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate for about 15 minutes.
  • Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a lined baking sheet.
  • Refrigerate the rolled balls for at least 20 minutes.
  • Melt the chocolate chips according to the package instructions.
  • Dip each ball into melted chocolate and place back on the baking sheet.
  • Refrigerate until chocolate is firm and set.

Notes

Store at room temperature for up to 3 days, in the refrigerator for 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months. Use sunflower seed butter for nut-free versions or add spices for variation.
